Brooks Friedeman
VP, Capital Markets
Prior to joining Clearway in 2018, Brooks spent over a decade in progressively senior roles within the project and structured finance, starting at Invenergy, then BrightSource, and finally at SunPower. Brooks has led or overseen the structuring, debt financing, tax equity, and sale processes for over twenty utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects, representing more than 3.5 GW and $6.5 billion of capital raised. In addition to project financing, Brooks led or held key roles in several corporate transactions, including the structuring and IPO of 8point3 Energy Partners and the sale of SunPower’s utility-scale pipeline to Clearway. Before entering the renewable energy field, Brooks structured securitized investments at the Bank of New York.
Brooks graduated from Lake Forest College with a bachelor’s degree in finance.
Brooks Friedeman is the Vice President of Capital Markets for Clearway Energy Group, where he oversees all project capital raising activities for the organization.
