Caryl Karnick
Deputy General Counsel
Caryl brings over two decades of corporate legal expertise, including more than 15 years specializing in renewable energy projects. Prior to her current role at Clearway, she served as Assistant General Counsel within NRG Energy, Inc.’s renewables division from 2014. Her career path includes serving as counsel to Edison Mission Energy and six years with Morgan Lewis in their Business and Finance Group before transitioning to in-house positions. Caryl holds a Juris Doctor from UCLA and earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from UC San Diego.
Caryl is the Deputy General Counsel at Clearway Energy, providing legal guidance to senior management on business decisions, corporate transactions, compliance issues, and risk management.
